Daily Crossword

I’ve been a big fan of crossword puzzles for a long time. When I came across a large dataset of clue–answer pairs, I got the idea to use a constraint satisfaction approach to generate a fresh crossword every day.

The biggest challenges were designing heuristics to speed up the backtracking search and finding a clean way to represent the crossword grid and its constraints.
